Twitter might be on its way to becoming the first relatively decentralized social media platform.

* It may have an open source algorithm in the future with a consensus mechanism for public agreement.

* Not much has been said about the content ownership and ability to monetize it, but I won’t be surprised if that happens.

* Like decentralized finance, the fundamental aspect of this is democratization or freedom of speech.

A true decentralized social media platform could be disruptive, existing leaders might just want to adapt.
